Rosh Hashanah
Refered to as the Jewish New Year because it marks the beginning of the High Holy Days in God's calendar. The name "Rosh Hashanah" literally means "beginning or head of the year." But remember the Creator said that the first month is when passover is celebrated. Check out a hebrew calendar and you will see that Nissan is the beginning of the new year and it begins in spring. I will not refer to Rosh Ha Shanah again as it is actually the Feast of Trumptets. Let us not toss out the man made doctrines of men that we find in Christianity today just to replace it with man made doctrines of Judism. Let us all turn to the author of life and let His instructions rule us.
The Feast of Trumpets begins the Ten Days of Awe which conclude with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It is a time to seek the Lord, to repent for wrongdoing, and to consecrate yourself in your relationship with the God.
I would also like to warn those considering joining a Messianic Synagogue. I attended one that said Jesus/Yeshua is not really God He is only the son of God. Another one said that Yeshua is Messiah and the son of God but Jesus is the Anti Christ, meaning the Jesus preached in churches is a fake Messiah. If you attend a Messianic synagogue and you hear them blaspheme the name Jesus, get out! Jesus is merely the greek name for Yeshua. Satan is clever.
